Empowerment has been a big part of my life for 14 years now. I have experienced it through participation, operations, counseling, facilitation and program design. One-on-one coaching is my true calling and love.

In 1994, I was introduced to a series of human empowerment programs called The Pursuit of Excellence. For the first time in my life, the information being taught not only made sense, it electrified me. I completed all three segments of the program in very short order and couldn’t get enough.

I continued to grow spiritually and professionally with the help of my now former wife, Cynthia Barlow, an exceptional facilitator, empowerment professional, and friend. Cynthia established an empowerment company, Constellation Learning, and together, we grew the business into a class-leading provider of specialized programs for people and corporations in a group setting.

Much of what I have learned over the last 40 years has come from what (at the time) seemed to be rebellious choices. I am as well versed in what not to do as I am with the right things to do. As Robert Frost put it, "Two roads diverged in the wood and I, I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."  That road has been invaluable and has countless stories and wisdoms that I am able to draw on to assist people on their own path to fulfillment.

I truly believe in the power of kindness and compassion, as well as the power of words. Wisdom that can be imparted with a few choice words is very attractive to me, and I find extremely helpful in conveying complex ideas effectively. One of my favourite quotes is from Mohandas Gandhi:

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world. ”

Being that change and assisting others to do so is my focus as I continue on my journey of self-discovery and introspection. I am drawn to eastern philosophy, energy healing (I am a level 2 Reiki practitioner) and am continually reading, writing and attending other programs.
